hey lovelies,

if you ever feel like your portrayal is not good enough, that others might not like what they read and therefore won’t follow you, i want you to remember that   we are all very different.   watching or reading certain dialogues and gestures can be interpreted in different ways.

how you play your character is simply how you understand them,   how you interpret their words and actions, and no doubt you’ll always portray them to the best of your ability because you love that character and want to do them justice.

there is a chance that other people will see some things differently and perhaps disagree with you on some things or a lot of things, but that’s   their own point of view.   no one should be forced to see a character as another person. be proud of your own portrayal because   it is unique, it’s yours   and no one can ever recreate it. your blog is your own brand for that portrayal and when people follow you, they will sign up to that brand probably because they see that character a similar way to you. if they ever change their mind or find out a detail about your portrayal that they strongly disagree with and decide to unfollow,   it’s their choice,   they’re allowed to do that. but that doesn’t reflect in any way on your character, it’s a difference of opinion.

( of course i’m talking about differences in temperament, vocabulary and such, using a character to rp some really uncool stuff is still not okay )

of course everyone wants to be liked and followed by many people, or just specific people that you just really wish would like you and/or interact with you, but you can’t make people think differently, so you just have to accept the followers you get.   celebrate your own portrayal and be proud of it,   never make your happiness dependent on your follower count or whether that one super popular blog follows you or not. just love the fact that you can create and write some amazing stories with those who love your character the way you write them.
